MEET JEANNE

I am an artist, who strives to create as often as I can! My professional accomplishments started in hospitality management.  I was the General Manager at the Flatbread Company and Standard Baking Co., instructor at Southern Maine Community College for the Culinary Arts Department and Advisory Committee Member for Full Plates/Full Potential. I have been very fortunate to work with organizations that valued food and community by supporting local farmers, vendors, community outreach and collaborating with local businesses and nonprofits. My experience building relationships and community engagement provided me an opportunity to be part of Union + Co.

How did you get started?

I studied Art in college and worked restaurant jobs which allowed me the flexibility to do my Art and pay my bills.  Really loved the hustle and bustle of the food industry and the opportunities it provided.

Passions + Hobbies

I love used bookstores that have old botanical and gardening books.  The text and images inspire my artwork.

Fun Fact: I’m a birder.

Why do you use Union + Co

Before I started working at Union + Co, I was a dedicated desk member.  I used the space to be creative without the distractions that usually occurred at my house.

Now I spend most days at Union + Co! It is a beautiful and inspiring space with fun, hardworking members that have helped build this community. What a spot.
