MEET HILARY

I am a project manager working for the International Development Division of The Cadmus Group, a strategic consulting firm serving government, commercial, and non-governmental organizations globally. I have worked in the international development field for 10 years, supporting the design and implementation of numerous fascinating US government-funded economic growth projects worldwide, including in trade facilitation in Bangladesh, workforce development in Cambodia, inclusive digital payment systems in Angola, and economic governance in Egypt, among many others.

After graduating with my master's degree in 2016 from Tufts University's international affairs graduate school, The Fletcher School, I moved to Washington, DC and took simultaneous odd jobs (including as magician's assistant and part-time receptionist for a bi-partisan lobbying firm) until I landed an internship at an international development small business. Shortly thereafter I was hired on full time and have been proudly working in this rewarding field ever since.

Passions + Hobbies

Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time puttering and doing yard work, reading epic fantasy and science fiction novels, making dinners and playing Bananagrams with good friends and family, snuggling with my terrier mix, Willow, and valiantly attempting to stick to my new(ish) running routine (made easier thanks to the Bath Run Club!).

Fun Fact about You: I am originally from Maine, but I grew up in Los Alamos, New Mexico - the land of Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project.

Why do you use Union + Co?

I relocated to Maine from Washington, DC full time in mid-2024, working remotely for a DC area firm. Although working from home has its perks, I missed the human connection of going into an office and I was thrilled to find Union + Co., which has a wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, and lovely members.
